The Sauza tequila distillery was founded in Jalisco, Mexico 1873 by Don Cenobio Sauza. He was the first to export tequila from Mexico, playing a huge part in making it the global spirit that it is today. Don Eladio Sauza took over the family business in 1903, at only 26 years of age. The business saw considerable expansion during his time at the reins. It was on the third generation, under Don Francisco Javier Sauza, that he crafted a tequila in honor of the 100 years of the family business. He named his creation Tres Generaciones Tequila. Three generations of tequila, three delicious expressions.

Their agaves are harvested from Sauza’s very own plantations, the agaves are only harvested once they have reached full maturity ― meaning that the plants are between 6 and 8 years old. After being hand-selected by the Master Distiller, they are fresh-pressed, extracting the juice with minimal bitterness before it is cooked. After the cooking and fermentation, the tequila is triple-distilled ― the additional distillation removes as many impurities as possible, resulting in a smoother spirit with minimal burn and harshness.
