About Sangre De Vida Corazón Blanco Tequila
Sangre De Vida Tequila is the brainchild of Kim Brandi, founder of Iconic Brands. The name translates to lifeblood: “As wine is to France, tequila is to Mexico – the life blood of the people.” This tequila is inspired by Lotería, the Mexican game of chance that is played with a deck of cards which feature various different pictures. Card no. 27 is “El Corazón” ― The Heart. This special-edition expression comes in a glass heart-shaped bottle that is eerily realistic.
After the agaves are harvested, the piñas (hearts) of the plant are roasted in stone-walled brick ovens. After the traditional slow cooking, the hearts are cooled, shredded, and squeezed, releasing the juices within. The juice then ferments for 5 days and is distilled 3 times, the final distillation taking place in small stills with higher heat. Bottled at 80 proof, this unaged tequila expression features bright, fruity, and green notes of agave, banana, citrus, and earthy & mineral undertones.

About Tequila Corazón
In May 2010, expert jimadors from the Corazon Distillery began harvesting agave from the rolling hillsides of Arandas, which is situated in the Jalisco region of Mexico. Rather than clear-cutting the fields from the outset, the jimadors employed scientific tools in order to analyze the precise sugar content of the 80 tons of agave plants in Arandas. Once the sugar content had been determined, the jimadors combined agave with a low sugar content (a low sugar content will produce a tequila with a drier, more mineral flavor profile) together with agave with a high sugar content (a high sugar content will produce a tequila with a sweeter and more bold flavor profile) in order to produce a unique tequila.
