Wildly different from the classic winter flavors of the classic London Dry Gin, Principe de los Apostoles Mate Gin offers a unique tropical and warm flavor profile. Crafted with yerba mate, a traditional Argentinian botanical from the Misiones region, this gin honors the centuries-long tradition of Guaraní people harvesting the native plant., each botanical, including pink grapefruit, coriander, and eucalyptus, are macerated separately for 24 hours in a wheat alcohol base in stainless steel containers. Only the peppermint is left to macerate for just 2 hours. The blend is then distilled in small, German copper stills in the Sol do Los Andes gin and grappa distillery in Mendoza, Argentina. A velvety, smooth and creamy gin with flavors of chocolate and fresh herbs, it’s bold enough to stand up beautifully in a cocktail like Negroni.
